Summary

This book is about lots of little animals

Lots of different animals live in different places like under the deep dark black brown soil. seed
and young
plants have just been planted, sun and rain will help the plant and seed grow, they will
also need the wet soil. Bees and butterflies are visiting the garden.

Theses are some of the things that live in the plants,green plant grasshoppers,
A nursery web spider,monarch butterflies,monarch caterpillars,praying mantis,
ladybirds and bumble bees in the dark night most birds are asleep well other animals
are visit the garden. Slugs and snails have come out looking for food.

Facts I learnt

(fantails)     

there tails help them fly

They build several nest and lay more then one lot of eggs each  year.

(tui)   

tui eat nectar from flowering plants,such as flax.

They also eat insects and fruit.

(Blue  butterfly)

this butterfly can often be seen on lawns where clover is growing.

(Monarch butterfly)

Monarch butterflies lay there eggs on swan plants or other plants in the milkweed family.

(stick insect)

Stick insects can be green or brown,smooth or rough.

They feed on leaves at night.

During the day they stay quiet so the birds don't see them.

(weta)

Weta only live in New Zealand.

Recommend the book

I do recommend for year 5 because little kids would not be able to read it and also
if you like going to  the garden then you would love this book. This book talks about lots of
different animals, it also has lots of facts about animals.

The lipstick lady

Little girl putting on bright red lipstick,dressing up looking like her
mum. The lipstick is all over her face looking gorgeous, with all
her stunning jewellery. With the necklaces laying on her chest.
Her hat about to fall off, just sitting on her head.

we had to use one of our 5 senses for this writing

UBD REFLECTION

THE BRIEF
On the 6th of July the lunch room officially closed. Our PTA are brainstorming
ways we can provide alternative lunch options for our school community a few times a term. Some of Tuakana syndicate have been asked to host in week 7.

LT: we are learning make food for our stakeholders .

we did good making pinwheels. we had good feedback from our stakeholders room 24.

Pinwheels contains:

Puff pastry

Leggo’s Tomato paste

Colby cheese

Shaved champagne ham

Basil

Cherry tomatoes

FRIDAY 24th august

LI we were learning fractions of a set 

I am proud of this work because it was confusing and i had know idea how to do it 

How to make the best hot chocolate.

LI we are to make a procedural text.

HOW TO MAKE THE BEST HOT CHOCOLATE

GOAL

The goal is to put the most marshmallows in the hot chocolate

WHAT YOU NEED

You will need, A mug marshmallows (heaps of them) Milk, hot water A jug,sugar and  cocoa powder

STEP 1

Get the mug out of the cupboard then put it on the table boal the jug.

STEP 2

Put two tea spoons of cocoa powder in the cup and put one teaspoons of sugar in the cup.

STEP 3

Now wait till the jug is boiled put the hot water in until halfway.

STEP 4

Get the milk out of the fridge pour it in the mug until the mug is fill.

STEP 5

Get the marshmallows out of the cupboard and put 7 in the mug now you need to drink the best hot chocolate. That how you make the best hot chocolate.

HIGHLIGHT 
My highlight of the week was PE because we were playing doge ball with room 24.

CHALLENGING MOMENT 
My challenging moment was doing maths because i didn't know how to do it the maths was Improper Fractions.

PROUD MOMENT
i was proud of myself for keeping on trying in Improper Fractions.

MY GOAL 
To be confident to learn something new.

Highlight
My Highlight this week was seeing mrs Shaw because she  does not work everyday of the week except Fridays.

Was doing all my work sheet for maths groups because i never finish them in time.

Challenging  Moment
Was doing goal practice because i did not know how to do it.

My goal next week is to finish all my must dos

My highlight was presenting in Assembly because we said our mihi and I was presenting with James And going to camp.

 Is getting certificates at Assembly because I like going on stage and getting handed the certificates.

CHALLENGING  MOMENT]
Is Learning how to say 12 hour time and 24 hour time because I didn't know how to do it.

MY GOAL]
Is to do well in school,and to do well in maths because I want a good report.

Friday 29.9.18

The highlight of my week was getting to do UBD because we get to work on our presentation.

I found it difficult when we were doing maths because i did not know how to convert between units of length.

It was helpful when Meelah moved the desk because we were moving the class around.

I am now able to sit at this desk because meelah helped me move it.

Next week I would like to do ART because i love it so much.

Reflection

The highlight of my week was reading my buddy the book i made because i was really proud of it.

I found it difficult when we were trying to put a pdf on blogger because i have never done it before.

It was helpful when miss hamlin showed me how to read the 24 hour time because i have never read the time before and i am still working on it.

I am now able to read to work on the time because miss hamlin helped me.

Next week I would like to more art because i love doing art.

I found it difficult when i had to share my book with meelah because she didn't have one.

It was helpful when miss hamlin showed us how to do tessellation because we were doing it with our buddy.

I am now able to do tessellation.

Next week I would like to do more samoa dancing because i didn't get to do it because i was making a card.

The highlight of my week was writing my narrative for my buddy. because i am really excited to share it with her.

I found it difficult when we i had to do quick questions because i didn't under stand the word problem.

It was helpful when miss hamlin showed me how to do the word problem because i didn't know how to do it.

I am now able to do word problems.

Next week I would like to be here everyday because i was sick on friday.

The highlight of my week was learning how to play tynker because i didnt know how to play it.

I found it difficult when i had to do three sheets over maths because the sheets are so hard.

It was helpful when miss hamlin showed me how to get on tynker because it wasn't working.

I am now able to play tynker because miss showed me how

Next week I would like to have fun at camp because i am so scared

The highlight of my week was i was able to be a host in assembly because i really wanted to.

I found it difficult when we were doing cross country because i am slow at running and it is very hard for me.

It was helpful when Rilee was teaching me the national because we need to learn it for assembly.

Next week I would like to have miss Hamlin in the class more because she wasn't all two days.

The highlight of my week was seeing angie because she is so cute

I found it difficult when we were doing statistics because the graf was hard to draw.

It was helpful when miss hamlin help me with statistics because if she didn't i wouldn't know how to do it.

I am now able to draw a graf because miss hamlin helped and showed me how to do it.

Next week I would like to angie and beau more because they are sooo cute.

The highlight of my week was seeing Angie because she is so cute.

I found it difficult when Angie was in class and i coudn't come see here because she is cute!

It was helpful when ms shaw brang Angie out of the class

I am now able to see angie

Next week I would like to see angie more

The highlight of my week was going to a different class because i've never been to a different class.

I found it difficult when i was doing quick questions.

It was helpful when miss hamlin helped me do them.
